***Part\-Time Remote and Field\-Based Supervisor Pool Position***
**POSITION AVAILABLE**: The Education Specialist Mild/Moderate Support Needs and Extensive Support Needs Credential Programs in the Department of Educational Psychology are accepting applications for the position of Fieldwork Supervisor during Academic Year 2026\-2027\. Individuals with special education licensure and k\-12 experience are encouraged to apply. Supervision for the 2026\-2027 school year will be remote or face\-face based on the delivery of instruction in the school district and the needs of the candidate.
The program is two years in length and culminates in the recommendation for the Preliminary Education Specialist Credential and the Master’s degree in Special Education. Candidates in the Education Specialist Program complete fieldwork and coursework concurrently over the course of the two\-year program. The fieldwork experiences increase from three days a week to full\-time student teaching.
**THE DEPARTMENT**: The Special Education Programs are one of post baccalaureate/graduate four programs in the Department of Educational Psychology. Program Coordinators work to provide all candidates with relevant field\- based experiences. Program faculty have expertise in special education pedagogy, collaboration, assessment, technology, curriculum and instruction. Program faculty work directly with fieldwork supervisors in the support of candidates.
**DUTIES OF THE POSITION**: The responsibilities of the position reflect both face\-face and distance learning education and supervision environments. Please note that teaching assignments at California State University, East Bay may include courses at the Hayward campus, the Concord Center, and/or online. The policy and expectation of the California State University is that all faculty members will perform all of their duties within the state of California.
* Provide face\-face or remote supervision for candidates teaching or completing fieldwork experiences in Alameda, Contra Costa, Santa Clara, and San Mateo counties.
* Travel to teaching/fieldwork sites in Alameda, Contra Costa Counties, San Mateo and/or when it is safe to do so.
* Contact with the candidate, cooperating teacher and the site administrator to let them know that you will be the onsite/remote supervisor for the credential candidate.
* Review the Using GoReact video and provide feedback to the candidate through the GoReact platform. Candidates will upload a minimum of 6 filmed assignments over the course of the semester.
