Job Description
**About the Role**
We are seeking a detail\-oriented Project Engineer to support active Medical Center construction contracts across the Northeast US. This role is heavily field\- and documentation\-focused — the right candidate is comfortable in Autodesk construction management platforms, obsessive about submittal tracking, sharp on reading and updating schedules, and a strong technical writer.
**Core Responsibilities**
**Autodesk Platform Management**
* Serve as the day\-to\-day administrator of **Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) / Autodesk Build** for active projects
* Manage RFIs, submittals, issues, and document control workflows within the platform
* Maintain organized drawing sets, ASI logs, and revision tracking in ACC
* Coordinate with subcontractors and the Owner to ensure all project communication runs through proper Autodesk workflows
* Generate reports and exports from ACC to support project status updates and contract documentation
**Submittal Management**
* Own the **submittal log** from kickoff through final approval — tracking every submittal from preparation to Owner approval
* Review submittals for spec compliance before forwarding to the Engineer of Record or Owner reviewer
* Issue and track transmittals, coordinate resubmittals, and maintain full audit trail documentation
* Coordinate with subcontractors on submittal preparation timelines to avoid procurement and construction delays
* Flag long\-lead submittals early and escalate approval bottlenecks to the Project Manager
**Schedule Tracking**
* Maintain and update the project schedule (Primavera P6 or MS Project) on a weekly basis
* Track planned vs. actual progress across all active work fronts and subcontractor scopes
* Identify schedule slippage, float consumption, and critical path impacts; report findings to the PM
* Support preparation of **Time Impact Analyses (TIAs)** and delay documentation for change order and REA packages
* Coordinate with subcontractors to collect weekly look\-ahead schedules and verify field progress
**Site Activity Reporting**
* Conduct regular site visits to observe, document, and photograph active construction activities
* Prepare and submit **Daily Construction Reports (DCRs)** capturing manpower, equipment, weather, work performed, and any incidents or anomalies
* Document site conditions, differing site conditions (DSCs), and unforeseen field issues with photographs and written records
* Maintain a site activity log supporting potential claims, change orders, or dispute resolution
* Attend weekly OAC meetings and subcontractor coordination meetings; prepare and distribute meeting minutes
**Qualifications**
**Required:**
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
* 1–4 years of construction project engineering experience
* Hands\-on proficiency with **Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)** or **Autodesk Build** — submittals, RFIs, document management
