Bookkeeper with fund experience - remote

**Remote Bookkeeper** **Overview** We are a consulting firm managing the financial activities of several entities and funds. Activities range from simple month\-end close to complex financial transactions. In all activities, accuracy is a must. We are looking for a detail\-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to join our team in a remote supportive role. This position requires approximately 5\-10 hours of work per month, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work from home. This role involves significant Excel work, managing the books of several entities and funds. **Responsibilities** * Maintain accurate financial records using mainly Excel. * Reconcile bank statements and fund accounts. * Prepare financial statements for review by management. * Manage bookkeeping tasks including data entry, journal entries, and account analysis. * Record/review fund transactions. * Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and IRR. * Maintain thorough documentation of all transactions, journal entries, and adjustments for audit readiness. **Requirements:** * Proficiency in MS Excel (a must). * Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role. * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. * Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. * Strong communication skills and a positive attitude. * Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks accurately. * Be available to work a few hours every week. * Knowledge of fund accounting a strong plus. * Ability and interest to engage with our organization on a long\-term basis. **Location:** Online (Remote) with preference given to candidates in the NJ/NY/PA area **Hours:** Flexible – Part\-Time (5\-10 hours/month) Hours are flexible, and most tasks require a turnaround time of one day or more. **Rate:** $35\-$50/hour – depending on experience and skill set If you are a self\-motivated individual with a passion for numbers, accuracy, and efficiency, we'd love to hear from you!
