Bring on your challenges and let us show you how we build insurance better.The RoleWe are seeking a Senior Product Manager to join our Personal Lines product team.You will be responsible for launching new products, managing day-to-day operations, and navigating the regulatory environment, evaluating and managing results.This is a high-visibility, high-impact individual contributor role. You will work broadly across Segment Leadership, Product Strategy, Actuarial, Legal/Compliance, and Advanced Analytics to create and execute on critical initiatives. Each local market is unique, requiring your judgment on how best to adapt our franchise approach. You will have significant agency to influence MSI's future, provide guidance to senior leadership, shape reinsurance strategies, and build consensus across the MGA.Success in this role requires deep command of thehomeowner’slandscape, including product design,product build andLaunching,pricing and underwriting techniques, marketplace trends, and regulatory considerations, along with a strong grasp of P&L fundamentals, CAT management metrics, and how product design choices drive financial outcomes.ResponsibilitiesManage P&L results within assigned Region, states, and product lines; ensure rate adequacy and appropriate CAT exposure managementBuild andlaunchnew products and work with State departmentstounsure approvalOwn and drive the rate and rule revision process end-to-end: confirming scope and timelines, preparing regulatory filings, coordinating with vendors, responding to regulator inquiries, and implementing approved changesConceptualize and bring new initiatives to market in support of growth and profit goals, including new products, coverages, endorsements, and geographiesPartner with Actuarial and Analytics teams to apply quantitative techniques to assess state-level profitability, uncover opportunities, and make recommendations for improvementReview competitor filings, rate algorithms, and underwriting guidelines, along with industry and regulatory developments, to inform product launches and enhancementsImplement underwriting rules as directedat achievingbusiness goalsProvide thought leadership to Segment Leaders to help refine go-to-market strategies and product positioningSet and maintain clear priorities across competing product initiativestoexecution sequencing that reflects business impactProvide mentorship and coaching to junior team members to build organizational capabilityQualificationsRequired8+ years of P&C insurance experience, with deep expertise in personalhomeowner’sproduct managementDemonstrated P&L ownership across multiple states and product lines, includingratemaking, underwriting, product design, and regulatory affairsTrack record of launching new products, coverages, or endorsements, or entering new territoriesIntermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ability to perform hands-on quantitative analysisPreferredFamiliarity with E&S propertyproductsin addition to admitted homeownersExperience in the California admitted homeowners’ marketsExperience with SQL, SAS, R, Python, Tableau, or other data query and programming toolsMaster’s degree in business, Insurance, or Actuarial Science, or a relevant professional designationSkills and QualitiesEntrepreneurial mindset:acts as a thought-partner across the organization to design new product entry strategies; comfortable working with agile teams to develop and launch solutionsStructured, analyticalthinkingbreaks down complex problems into component parts, assesses them quantitatively, and quickly translates findings into actionable recommendationsClear communication and interpersonal skills:ability to communicate effectively and succinctly at all levels of the organization; builds inclusive and engaging environmentsAdaptability:thrives in a fast-paced, remote-first culture; comfortable managing multiple parallel workstreams and making sound decisions under uncertaintySelf-motivated with strong work ethic:high-energy individual who functions well in a performance-driven environment and consistently m
