Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first The Associate Director, IT Disaster Recovery is a strategic leader responsible for driving enterprise-wide disaster recovery compliance, governance, and resiliency. This role oversees all data management, audit response, controls management, and reporting activities necessary to maintain regulatory and operational readiness. The position is pivotal in ensuring alignment between IT and Business Continuity, enabling mature business capability mapping and process-to-application dependency understanding. The Associate Director leads the administration and development of the ServiceNow DR module and manages all related program training and documentation.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage all disaster recovery compliance efforts, including data management, governance, and regulatory reporting.Oversee internal and external audit response activities, ensuring readiness for Medicare/Medicaid and other regulatory audits.Manage IT controls and coordinate RFP responses for disaster recovery requirements.Conduct annual DR audits of SaaS providers, ensuring vendors meet recovery and resiliency objectives and reporting on any gaps.Drive vendor due diligence for new and renewing contracts, ensuring appropriate recovery-focused language is included and enforced.Partner with Business Continuity leaders to mature business capability mapping and strengthen process-to-application mapping and dependency analysis.Administer, manage, and develop the ServiceNow Disaster Recovery module, ensuring its functionality aligns with program goals.Oversee program training initiatives and documentation management to ensure all stakeholders are educated and compliance standards are maintained.Provide DR compliance reporting and insights to senior leadership.Support inclusion in vendor testing to verify recovery objectives and enhance audit responses using robust compliance data.Maintain awareness of changing regulatory requirements and industry best practices.Partner and align on all merger & acquisition activities for smooth onboarding and transition to Humana's DR programA proactive, results oriented leader with strong focus on continuous improvementAbility to stay calm and lead effectively under pressureStrategic thinker with a collaborative approach to solving complex problemsStrong relational and communication skills, able to influence and partner with associates, leaders and executives. Use your skills to make an impact Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experienceMinimum of 7-10 years of experience in IT infrastructure, business continuity, or disaster recovery, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Must be passionate about contributing to a team that is transforming DR and maturing best practices and an organization focused on continuous improvement.Preferred QualificationsMaster’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., DRII, CBCP, or similar) is preferred.Certified Information Systems Security Professional [CISSP], etc.) are a plus.Additional InformationWork-At-Home RequirementsWAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$142,300 - $195,700 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
