At SOUS, we help independent food & beverage entrepreneurs grow. We’re building what we believe will be the last employee a restaurant owner ever has to hire that touches a screen. Our AI agent handles what matters most: being found, powering commerce, and bringing guests back.After strong traction in our home market, we’ve already secured our first customers in Germany and are now entering the next phase: scaling across the country. We’re hiring a Market Expansion Lead – Germany to help scale SOUS from early traction to a repeatable, country-wide growth engine.This is not a country manager role and not a pure sales role. You’ll operate like a startup within a startup; building on existing momentum, owning execution on the ground, and working closely with the founders and central team.You won’t be starting from scratch, but you will be responsible for turning early success into scale.TasksRevenue & Market Traction (Primary)Own new merchant acquisition in Germany (restaurants, chefs, and F&B brands)Build on existing traction to scale merchant adoption nationallyRun full-cycle sales: outreach → close → onboardingBuild and close early pipeline, generating ARRIdentify the fastest-converting ICPs and GTM motionsCreate local proof points and case studies to accelerate growthMarket Launch & Local ExecutionHelp make SOUS fully “Germany-ready” at scaleAct as local point of contact for early partners and strategic merchantsRepresent SOUS at relevant local events and hospitality communitiesOperate like a startup within a startup — moving fast, testing assumptions, and executing hands-onOps, Playbooks & Feedback Loop(Light but Critical)Spot friction in onboarding, payments, and merchant experienceCreate and refine the German go-to-market playbook for sales + partnerships.Act as the voice of the German market internally, ensuring local needs are reflected in product, pricing, and processesHelp define when Germany is ready for scale and additional structureRequirements3–6 years experience in sales, business development, or commercial rolesExperience in a startup or fast-growing scale-upLocal network in restaurants industry is a plusFluent in German and strong in EnglishComfortable selling before everything is perfectOpen for travelling within DE, and occasionally to Amsterdam.Curious about ops, legal, and “how things actually work”High energy, low ego, strong ownership mindsetWilling to roll up your sleeves and do what’s needed to make the market workBenefitsCompetitive base salary aligned with experience and marketStrong, uncapped commission structure tied directly to impactEquity upside for strong performers as the market scalesRemote-first setup with flexibility and regular in-person timeDirect exposure to founders and real influence on company directionHigh ownership role with clear growth trajectoryThe opportunity to scale a live market, not start from zeroA fast-moving, ambitious team building a category-defining product in food & hospitalityGermany is already live at SOUS.
