**Summary** ----------- The Library of Congress Internships (LOCI) program is a seasonal, 10\- or 14\-week paid internship program that enables undergraduate, graduate students, and recent graduates to gain experience through applied learning and professional development opportunities that advance the academic and career pursuits of participants. Learn more about this agency **This job is open to** ----------------------- ### **The public** U.S. Citizens, Nationals or those who owe allegiance to the U.S. ### **Clarification from the agency** MUST be a U.S. Citizen currently enrolled at time of application in a degree\-granting program of study at an accredited institution of higher learning (community college, college, university, or tribal college) at the undergraduate level or graduate level AND/OR have graduated or will graduate between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2025\. **Duties** ---------- The position description number for this position is 404866\. This is a non\-supervisory, bargaining unit position. The 2026 Fall session of the Library of Congress Internships Program include options for virtual, remote project work. **Interns hired under this announcement will be expected to conduct work from their home location.** This program offers undergraduate, graduate students and recent graduates insight into the environment and culture of the world's largest and most comprehensive repository of human knowledge. Interns will be exposed to a broad spectrum of library work: copyright, preservation, reference, access standards, and information management. Near the end of their appointments at the Library, the interns join together to present their accomplishments and share their insights on the impact of their work. The assignments will span many professional fields at the Library, including information technology, human capital, event planning, communications, collections support and research. Interns work with Library staff on mission\-critical projects that utilize the interns’ existing skills. Interns are exposed to additional opportunities to expand their skills through special assignments, professional development training and workshops, mentoring, and other enrichment activities. Interns participate in a wide range of projects offered across the Library of Congress that are designed to challenge and strengthen the skills of emerging professionals and fulfill the mission and vision of the Library of Congress. **2026 Fall Projects:** The remote project names for fall 2026 are listed below.
