We provide clear, competitive compensation designed to recognize measurable outcomes and real impact.What you’ll do:Lead a team of software engineers while also being an individual contributor to keep your development skills sharpHelp team members grow through mentoring, coaching, 1:1s, career planning, performance appraisals, etc.Oversee the design and development of product features and modernize technical debtPromote opportunities for refactoring by examining patterns of system usage and identifying areas of optimizationProvide technical oversight for feature development, ensuring appropriate test coverage, and reviewing and approving pull requestsRemove roadblocks and/or bottlenecks for the team and resolve questions in real timeParticipate in sprint planning for work that will be coming into future sprints and work with the team to help drive sprints to completionParticipate in elaboration and design sessions with other engineers, architects and product managers, providing constructive and honest feedback during sprint retrospectives for continuous improvement. You will need to understand business requirements and translate business needs into technology solutionsTake advantage of extensive use of automation, including continuous integration, automated deployments, automated unit and functional testingWhat you’ll bring:6+ years of software development experience and 2+ years people management, leadership or mentorship experienceExperience working in a web-based or multi-tier system desiredExperience with object-oriented programming concepts such as design patterns, encapsulation and inheritance as well as database design and software architectureStrong knowledge of Agile software development best practices, unit testing, continuous integration, etc.Experience debugging and troubleshooting applications with IDE, SQL profiler, Chrome developer tools, etc.A self-motivated individual with the ability to learn and come up to speed on new technologies quickly• Experience with the following technologies:◦ Python and SQL; PostgreSQL and Aurora a plus ◦ Data manipulation and analysis tools, such as Pandas and NumPy ◦ Cloud-based database and analytics platforms, such as Snowflake or Databricks ◦ Containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Airflow) ◦ Bonus: experience with machine learning, prompts and AI agentsKnowledge of GitHub best practices for team development involving feature branches, pull requests, release tags, etc.Strong time management, problem solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to identify and influence others on the best solutionCulture Agility.
