Executive Assistant - Remote

Position Global Energy Monitor is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to join the Administrative team. The Executive Assistant is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Executive Director. This role helps ensure the Executive Director is well prepared, organized, and supported in managing priorities, meetings, communications, travel, and follow\-up. In service to the Office of the Executive Director, this role will provide administrative and coordination support to the broader Executive Leadership Team and Leadership Team, as capacity allows and as prioritized by the Executive Director. This role plays an important part in helping ensure smooth, efficient operations in a remote and globally distributed organization. This role will also support key flagship initiatives currently being overseen by the Executive Director such as the Open Energy Research and Analytics Consortium, with administrative and coordination support. The Challenge According to the Intergovernmental Panel of Climate Change (IPCC), we have less than a decade to make massive and unprecedented changes in the global economy to avoid the worst impacts of climate change. To meet that challenge, Global Energy Monitor is creating trackers and other tools to provide detailed information on energy facilities, sponsors, and financing. Location **Preference will be given to those living in the United States, however, GEM may be able to hire employees worldwide in countries where our PEO (****Deel****) operates, except in countries classified as Level 3 or 4 on the** **U.S. Department of State’s** **website.
