If you're organized, proactive, and comfortable juggling multiple matters in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you.What You'll DoManage cases from intake through resolutionDraft pleadings, motions, correspondence, discovery, and other legal documentsPrepare and e-file court documentsConduct legal and factual researchCoordinate discovery and trial preparationTrack deadlines, hearings, and case calendarsCommunicate with clients, courts, and opposing counselKeep cases moving by anticipating attorney needsWhat We're Looking ForMust-Haves3+ years of recent paralegal experience in a U.S. law firmExperience supporting at least two practice areas (Litigation, Criminal, Estate Planning, Probate, Family Law, Immigration, Bankruptcy, Corporate, Employment, Personal Injury, or similar)Bachelor's degreeStrong legal writing, drafting, and proofreading skillsExcellent organization, time management, and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple matters independently in a remote environmentAvailability for at least 20 hours per weekTechnical SkillsMicrosoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)Adobe AcrobatElectronic court filing (state and/or federal)Legal research experienceExperience using legal case management softwareReliable high-speed internet and a professional home officeWindows-based computer preferredNice to HaveExperience with Clio Manage or similar practice management softwareTrial preparation experienceFederal court filing experience (CM/ECF)Experience supporting multiple attorneysExperience working remotely for a law firmWhy You’ll Love Working HereAt Equivity, you are part of a dedicated, internally managed team of legal professionals—not a temporary placement.
