The choice is yours!The salary for this role is $160,000-$180,000 annually based on experience.Key Responsibilities:AI Workforce Pro — Build & MaintainDevelop new features, fix bugs, and maintain stability of the AI Workforce Pro platformIntegrate updates from the upstream open-source fork safely without breaking existing functionalityCollaborate with the Technology team to evaluate new UI/UX approaches as the AI landscape evolvesAI XDR Product — Clean-Up & LaunchComplete cleanup and stabilization of the AI XDR product in preparation for launchEnsure code quality, documentation, and deployment pipelines meet launch standardsInternal Tooling & Cross-Team ProjectsBuild and maintain internal tools and automations that support SMB Team operationsCollaborate with other teams to scope, design, and ship technology solutions for internal needs and external client-facing products Code Quality & Engineering StandardsWrite clean, well-documented, maintainable code and participate in peer code reviewsContribute to engineering documentation, technical runbooks, and shared development standardsProactively identify and flag technical debt, scope risks, and blockersDevelopment & maintenance of CI/CD pipeline including buildout of preproduction environmentsCollaboration & CommunicationWork closely with the Director of Technology Operations on sprint planning and project prioritizationSurface technical constraints early in the product development process to inform product decisionsEnable leadership to focus on product management and product owner responsibilities by executing reliably and autonomously on engineering tasksRequirements6+ years of experience as a full stack developer; proven ability to ship production-grade web applicationsMust be able to show real work (GitHub, live products, or equivalent)Ability to work autonomously and proactively without requiring hand-holding on day-to-day executionMust be current on the AI tooling landscape, particularly as it relates to building AI-powered products and workflowsMust be willing to work within SMB Team’s systems, processes, and shared engineering standardsExcellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teammatesProficiency in modern web technologies — JavaScript/TypeScript (React, Node.js), RESTful APIs, cloud deployment (AWS, GCP, or Azure), GraphQL, and serverless environmentsExperience working with AI/ML APIs or AI-powered product integrations (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) strongly preferredAbility to work independently in a fast-moving environment; comfortable with ambiguity and iterative product development Strong debugging and problem-solving skills; able to diagnose and resolve issues across the full stack Experience with version control (Git) and branching strategies, including working with forked open-source repositories Experience with SMB Team’s tech stack is a plus:HubSpotAsanaPandaDocSlackGoogle WorkspaceBenefitsSMB Team is a rapidly-growing marketing agency and coaching business for lawyers.
