As a Director, you will lead complex client engagements, develop innovative fundraising strategies, and contribute to the growth of Huron’s healthcare advancement practice. This is a high-impact leadership role that blends client delivery, business development, and team leadership to deliver measurable results for mission-driven organizations.Client Leadership & DeliveryServe as a trusted advisor to healthcare and academic medicine clients, delivering consulting services such as fundraising assessments, campaign planning, strategic studies, and grateful patient program developmentLead the creation and delivery of high-quality, data-driven presentations and reports that translate insights into actionable strategiesPartner with senior client stakeholders, including executive leadership, boards, and clinical leadersTeam & Practice LeadershipLead, mentor, and develop high-performing consulting teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and excellenceDrive strategic and operational execution to ensure quality delivery against tight deadlinesEnhance Huron’s market presence by developing new programs, offerings, and thought leadershipBusiness Development & GrowthDrive revenue growth through proposal development, sales presentations, and client relationship expansionContribute to new product development and innovation within the healthcare advancement portfolioSupport marketing efforts through thought leadership (e.g., articles, webinars, conference presentations)Operations & Continuous ImprovementImprove processes, tools, and methodologies to increase efficiency and optimize client deliveryAlign practice offerings with firm-wide strategy and revenue goalsSupport a culture of continuous improvement across systems, policies, and client service deliveryKey Skills & CapabilitiesStrategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into clear recommendationsDeep knowledge of fundraising best practices and nonprofit/philanthropic managementStrong client management and relationship-building skills with executive presence and influenceProven ability to manage multiple priorities, deliver under pressure, and lead complex engagementsHands-on, solutions-oriented consulting approach tailored to each client’s unique culture and needsStrong communication, presentation, and collaboration skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systemsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred10+ years of frontline development experience within academic medicine, healthcare systems, or hospitalsProven success building and managing philanthropic programs, including: Major and principal giftsAnnual giving and program supportCorporate/foundation relationsGrateful patient and planned giving initiativesDemonstrated experience planning and executing comprehensive campaigns and strategic fundraising initiativesTrack record of directly closing major/principal gifts and leading high-performing teamsExperience working with executive leadership, boards, and clinical/academic stakeholdersAdditional RequirementsWillingness to travel up to 50% Flexible location within the contiguous United StatesThe estimated base salary range for this job is $175,000 - $225,000. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron’s pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $218,750 - $303,750.
