Independent Sales Representative — Merchant Services **OMS** **Remote \| 1099 Independent Contractor \| Commission\-Based** About the Position Oracle Merchant Services/ OMS is seeking experienced **1099 Independent Sales Representatives** to develop new merchant\-service accounts within the **construction, roofing, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC industries**. This is a remote B2B sales position focused on identifying prospective businesses, contacting business owners and decision\-makers, presenting merchant\-services solutions, and developing qualified new merchant accounts. The ideal candidate has experience selling to small and midsize businesses and is comfortable with prospecting, relationship development, consultative selling, and closing B2B accounts. Prior merchant\-services experience is helpful but **not required**. Experience selling to contractors, trades businesses, construction companies, or other service businesses is strongly preferred. What You Will Do As an Independent Sales Representative, your primary responsibilities will include: * Prospect for construction, roofing, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC businesses. * Identify business owners and other purchasing decision\-makers. * Conduct outbound calls, email outreach, networking, and other approved prospecting activities. * Schedule and conduct introductory sales conversations. * Learn about a prospective merchant's existing payment\-processing environment. * Present OMS merchant\-services solutions based on the merchant's needs. * Prepare and submit qualified merchant applications through OMS procedures. * Maintain an organized prospect and sales pipeline. * Follow up with prospective merchants throughout the sales process. * Coordinate with OMS underwriting, onboarding, implementation, and support teams. * Maintain professional relationships with merchants after account activation. * Develop referrals from satisfied business customers and professional contacts. * Meet reasonable sales\-activity and production objectives established with OMS. Products and Services OMS provides merchant\-services solutions for businesses, including: * Credit and debit card processing * Point\-of\-sale solutions * Countertop and wireless payment terminals * Payment gateways * E\-commerce payment solutions * ACH payment services * Recurring billing * Virtual terminal solutions * Mobile payment solutions * Merchant account services OMS provides the processing infrastructure, underwriting, onboarding, implementation resources, technology, and merchant support necessary to support the sales process and customer relationship. Compensation This is a **1099 independent contractor position** with compensation based on successful merchant\-account production.
