Financial Controller

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to make a significant impact within a dynamic organization committed to excellence. **Duties** * Lead and manage the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting across all departments. * Oversee the preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). * Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes\-Oxley Act) controls and other regulatory requirements, including governmental and non\-profit accounting standards. * Manage cash flow, treasury functions, and banking relationships to optimize liquidity and financial stability. * Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, account analysis, and month\-end closing processes efficiently. * Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and expense management activities. * Implement and maintain robust accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar software; utilize Excel data analysis for financial insights. * Prepare comprehensive financial reports, including budgets, forecasts, and regulatory filings to support strategic planning. * Perform cost accounting analysis to identify efficiencies and cost\-saving opportunities. * Ensure adherence to internal controls such as SOX compliance and regulatory reporting standards. * Lead audits by external auditors and coordinate with regulatory agencies as needed. * Drive continuous improvement in financial processes through automation and best practices in finance management. **Requirements** * Proven experience as a Financial Controller or senior finance leader with a strong background in corporate accounting. * Extensive knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, SOX compliance, governmental accounting, and non\-profit accounting standards. * Proficiency in financial software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms; advanced Excel skills including data analysis techniques. * Strong understanding of technical accounting concepts including double entry bookkeeping, general ledger reconciliation, debits \& credits, and financial close processing. * Demonstrated ability to manage accounting teams effectively while fostering a collaborative environment. * Expertise in cash management, treasury operations, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. * Excellent communication skills with the ability to write clear financial reports for diverse audiences. * Knowledge of regulatory compliance accounting
