Job Description

**About Amelia Risk** Amelia Risk is a women\-owned insurance brokerage in the San Francisco Bay Area, working with some of the most exciting startups and high\-growth companies in CPG and consumer products. We're growing our team and looking for an experienced Senior Account Manager to own key client relationships, advise clients directly, and help lead our service team as we scale. We hold ourselves to a high bar. Our clients trust us with things that matter to their business and we bring precision, real expertise, and white\-glove service to every relationship we manage. That's non\-negotiable. Our team is fully remote – we don’t let that get in the way of forming relationships and keeping up with each other. If you love getting into the details, want to do work you're proud of, and want to be part of a small team that works hard and has fun doing it, we'd love to talk. **About the Role** As a Senior Account Manager, you’ll be the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for a book of commercial clients – owning their coverage, their renewals, and their day\-to\-day service. You’ll analyze policies, identify gaps, market accounts to carriers, and advise clients directly on the right coverage decisions. You’ll also partner closely with our producer team to place new lines of business on existing accounts, and direct your support team to execute on certificates, data entry, and routine tasks so you can focus on high\-value advisory work. This is a senior role for someone who is self\-sufficient, confident, and experienced – comfortable owning client relationships and leading a team to deliver. **What You’ll Do** * Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for an assigned book of commercial clients * Translate complicated insurance coverage and exposures into a digestible format that our clients can understand * Anticipates client needs by recognizing patterns in inquiries, reading beyond surface\-level questions, and proactively communicates solutions before issues arise. * Review policies and conduct coverage analysis – identify gaps and advise clients directly on solutions * Manage the full renewal cycle: gather updated exposures, market and remarket accounts to carriers, negotiate terms, and prepare and present proposals * Partner with the producer to place new and additional lines of business on existing clients * Direct your support team to execute on certificate issuance, AMS data entry, and routine processing * Maintain accurate, complete records in our agency management system (currently Nexsure, migrating to Applied Epic) * Respond to client and carrier requests with accuracy, urgency, and white glove service **What We’re Looking For** * Active resident Property \& Casualty broker\-agent license in your home state (required) * Minimum 5 years of commercial lines account management experience at an agency or brokerage * Confidence in advising clients directly and owning a book of business start to finish * C
