HALO is looking for a business\-minded attorney to join our in\-house legal team as **Senior Counsel – Commercial**. This is a high\-impact, high\-visibility role with end\-to\-end ownership of our commercial contracting function and a clear runway to grow in the role. You will start by owning the commercial contract lifecycle, partner closely with teams across the business, and expand over time into M\&A and other practice areas as a true generalist. This is an ideal role for a lawyer who is energized by variety, eager to build, and excited to work at the leading edge of how legal work gets done—including the practical, everyday use of AI tools to deliver faster results and higher quality work product.
**Responsibilities:**
**Own commercial contracts end\-to\-end.** Draft, review, negotiate, and manage the full range of the company’s commercial agreements—customer contracts, master services agreements, statements of work, vendor and supplier agreements, NDAs, licensing, and related documents. You’ll be the go\-to resource for commercial contracting across the organization.
**Build and improve how the work gets done.** Develop and refine playbooks, templates, and standard positions. Use AI\-powered tools as a regular part of your daily workflow to accelerate drafting, review, and analysis—and help shape how the department adopts and scales these tools responsibly.
**Support small acquisitions.** Work alongside the General Counsel on small acquisitions and related transactions, including due diligence, transaction documents, and integration support, with increasing responsibility over time.
**Grow into a generalist.** As you develop, take on matters across other areas of in\-house practice—employment, commercial real estate, intellectual property, data privacy, compliance, and corporate governance—broadening your scope and impact.
**Be a true business partner.** Build strong, trusted relationships with —sales, technology, finance, vendor relations, and leadership. Translate legal complexity into clear, practical guidance that helps the business move.
**Engage externally.** Serve as a client\-facing representative of the company with customers, suppliers, and partners, negotiating and problem\-solving in a way that protects the company while advancing the relationship.
Requirements:
* J.D. from an accredited law school and an active license to practice law, in good standing, in the U.S. state where you reside and will work (and a commitment to maintain that active, good\-standing status throughout employment).
