Government Contract Capture & Procurement Specialist (Remote | Part-Time | Performance-Based Growth

**Position Overview** We are seeking a dynamic and detail\-oriented Government Contract Capture \& Procurement Specialist to join our team on a remote, part\-time basis. This is not a cold\-calling sales position. This is not a proposal writer position. We are looking for someone with government contracting experience who enjoys the research, coordination, supplier development, and capture activities that happen before a proposal is submitted. You will become an important member of our capture team and work directly with company leadership to identify suppliers, obtain quotes, recruit subcontractors, support proposal development, and help position WIL for contract awards. **Primary Responsibilities** * Review federal, state, and local government opportunities. * Analyze RFQs, IFBs, Sources Sought Notices, RFIs, and Presolicitations. * Identify qualified OEMs, manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers. * Request and compare supplier quotes. * Identify and recruit qualified subcontractors throughout the United States. * Locate staffing resources when contracts require additional personnel. * Build and maintain supplier and subcontractor databases. * Coordinate with vendors regarding pricing, lead times, technical information, and delivery schedules. * Assist with pricing worksheets and proposal support. * Maintain opportunity trackers and capture documentation. * Support business development efforts by helping build strategic supplier relationships. **Required Qualifications** * Previous government contracting experience is required. * Working knowledge of SAM.gov and the federal acquisition process. * Understanding of NAICS Codes, PSC Codes, and basic FAR concepts. * Experience obtaining supplier quotes and coordinating subcontractors. * Strong research and organizational skills. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. * Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and online research. **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience supporting Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Department of Defense (DoD), DLA, GSA, or state and local government contracts. * Background in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, proposal coordination, estimating, logistics, or project management. * Existing relationships with manufacturers, distributors, or subcontractors are a plus. **Compensation** This position begins as a performance\-based independent contractor opportunity.
