This role partners with clients to provide innovative tax solutions by integrating leading tax engines with ERP, billing, and ecommerce platforms, while applying innovative approaches to complex indirect tax challenges.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for all phases of the software implementation methodology including planning, requirements gathering, solution design, tax configuration, testing, knowledge transfer, and cutover supportProject management activities such as leading status calls, creating status reports, taking meeting minutes, and maintaining project plansCreate and maintain project documentationOffer/apply in-depth knowledge of tax technology best practices and function as a subject matter expert to clientsLead tax requirements sessions with clients for input to the solution designImplement an array of tax technology solutions (ONESOURCE, Vertex, Avalara) as well as integrate these solutions with ERP, Billing, POS, and Ecommerce systems (Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, etc.)Assist with troubleshooting functional and technical issues related to tax solutionsExplain the high-level differences among the tax engine solutions and define opportunities for improvement for existing tax technology solutionsAssist management with business development activitiesEducation and QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Accounting, Mathematics, or related field required4-7 years of experienced in a related roleUnderstanding of common requirements for a tax integration projectExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExpertise with Microsoft products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Projects)PMP experience a plusMinimum 2 years managing tax related projectsTravel as required (approximately 15-50%)Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
