Our company culture is rooted in alignment, innovation, and integrity.About the JobThe Junior Underwriter role will provide technical expertise in evaluating new business and renewals, providing quotes which reflect the risk profile of the account as well as the goals of the company. The successful candidate has industry experience, understands insurance and underwriting terminology and has a general understanding of the healthcare market. Prior experience in underwriting and captive arrangement a plus. An early track record of balancing creative thinking with strong business judgement and analytical skills, this role will underwrite opportunities utilizing Crumdale’s unique solutions. Duties & Responsibilities: Oversee production to ensure timely and accurate completion of renewals and proposalsReview renewal and new business proposals to ensure that quoted business is in line with Company objectives, goals and solutionsDevelop relationships with key constituents and decision makers based on trust and credibility to enhance influence on risk management and pricing decisionsProvide solid and persuasive arguments to move Sales and external audiences toward appropriate risk solutionsEnhance department influence by negotiating workable solutions, meeting deadlines and providing responsive serviceConduct periodic internal reviews in order to maintain compliant rates, controls and processesRequirements1 to 2 years of underwriting experience with progressive responsibilities within employee benefitsGeneral knowledge and understanding of self-funded and fully-insured markets, including understanding and interpreting claim reporting from various external sourcesAbility to balance judgement, analytical skills, and creative thinkingA good communicator; collaborating with Sales and other key constituents to drive successful outcomesDemonstrated Excel skills and knowledgeExposure to the Ugan underwriting system and SalesForce a plusBenefitsAt Crumdale, we strive to provide a comprehensive and supportive benefits package to ensure the well-being of our employees.
