Job Description
**Overview**
Join our dynamic team as an Electronic Return Originator, where you'll play a vital role in the loan origination and mortgage services process within the financial services industry. **Duties**
* Prepare and submit electronic loan originations using specialized financial software, ensuring accuracy and adherence to FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines and TILA (Truth in Lending Act) regulations.
* Review loan documentation meticulously, verifying all data points through Excel data analysis and basic math calculations to guarantee completeness before submission.
* Coordinate with loan officers, underwriters, and clients to gather necessary information, clarify discrepancies, and facilitate smooth communication throughout the lending process.
* Maintain detailed records of all electronic returns, processing logs, and compliance documentation in accordance with banking regulatory standards.
* Monitor industry changes related to mortgage services, commercial lending regulations, and financial compliance to ensure ongoing adherence to legal requirements.
* Assist in training team members on loan origination procedures, lending protocols, and the use of financial software tools like Microsoft Office applications.
* Conduct risk assessments by analyzing commercial lending data for creditworthiness and lending analysis in accordance with industry best practices.
**Requirements**
* Proven experience in loan origination within the financial services or banking sector, with a strong understanding of mortgage services and commercial lending processes.
* Familiarity with FNMA guidelines, TILA regulations, and banking regulatory compliance standards.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes; familiarity with financial software is highly desirable.
* Excellent customer service skills combined with clear client communication abilities to explain complex loan details effectively.
* Strong knowledge of industry regulations governing loans, including mortgage processing laws like TILA and industry\-specific compliance standards.
* Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently using basic math skills and 10 key typing accuracy for data entry tasks.
* Experience in risk assessment related to commercial lending analysis in credit and risk management contexts; previous team leadership experience is a plus.
