Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will contribute to a smooth tax season experience for both clients and the firm. **Responsibilities** * Prepare individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns using tax preparation software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations * Review financial documents, including W\-2s, 1099s, and other relevant tax documents, to gather necessary information for accurate reporting * Communicate effectively with clients to gather missing information, clarify financial details, and explain tax\-related questions in a clear and professional manner * Stay updated on current tax laws, regulations, and software updates to ensure precise tax reporting and compliance * Assist in organizing client files, maintaining detailed records of all tax documents and correspondence throughout the season * Support marketing efforts by engaging with potential clients and promoting our services through client communication and outreach * Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines during peak tax season while maintaining high\-quality standards **Requirements** * Prior experience in accounting or finance, especially in public accounting or tax preparation roles preferred * Strong knowledge of tax law, tax compliance procedures, and relevant accounting principles * Proficiency with tax preparation software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms; familiarity with other financial software is a plus * Excellent analysis skills combined with strong math abilities for accurate calculations and data review * Effective client communication skills to explain complex financial concepts clearly and professionally * Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently under tight deadlines during busy seasonal periods * Basic technical skills including 10 key typing speed for data entry accuracy Preferred qualifications include experience in bookkeeping, corporate accounting, partnership taxation expertise, familiarity with financial sales strategies, marketing skills for client acquisition, and general knowledge of accounting software.
