**Bookkeeper (Part\-Time, Year\-Round, Hybrid Remote)** Location: Brunswick, Maine Schedule: 20–35 hours per week Compensation: $25–$29 per hour, based on experience Work Arrangement: In\-office/hybrid remote after in\-office training period **About Us** Management Accounting is a well\-established accounting firm serving both individuals and businesses with a full range of accounting and bookkeeping services. We are currently seeking a motivated and detail\-oriented **Staff Bookkeeper** to support our expanding client base. **Position Summary** The ideal candidate is organized, self\-directed, and experienced in managing multiple client accounts using QuickBooks Online. This position works closely with the Bookkeeper Manager and Office Manager to provide accurate and timely bookkeeping support. A 30\-day in\-office training period is required. Hybrid and remote work options are available afterward for local candidates. Room for growth within the bookkeeping team. **What You’ll Do** In this role, you’ll become a trusted financial partner for a diverse group of small business clients, helping them stay organized, informed, and financially confident. Your work will have a direct impact on the success and growth of the businesses we support. **Responsibilities include** * Managing day\-to\-day bookkeeping and maintaining accurate financial records for multiple clients using QuickBooks Online * Handling accounts payable and accounts receivable to keep client finances running smoothly * Performing bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and clarity in financial reporting * Preparing journal entries and maintaining clean, organized financial data * Coordinating payroll processing and supporting clients with payroll\-related needs * Preparing and filing 1099s with accuracy and attention to detail * Creating meaningful financial reports, including Profit \& Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and customized client reporting that helps businesses make informed decisions * Working within modern accounting and document management platforms, including ATOM, Truss, and Microsoft OneDrive * Building long\-term, trusted relationships with clients through responsive communication and dependable support through Zoom, Loom videos, and Outlook * Collaborating closely with both clients and team members in a professional, positive, and service\-oriented environment * Delivering timely, accurate financial information while helping create an organized and stress\-free experience for clients **Qualifications** * Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or equivalent professional experience * Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience required * Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online required * QuickBooks Online Certification Training preferred * Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel required * Working knowledge of Microsoft 365
