Project – the aim you’ll haveWe are looking for Platform Engineers to join a long-term platform engineering project focused on high-performance infrastructure, automation and self-service provisioning. The platform is being extended to support more advanced infrastructure lifecycle operations, stronger automation, secure access models and integration with underlying infrastructure services. The key challenge is to abstract complex infrastructure capabilities behind secure APIs and automation layers, so users can consume them in a controlled, scalable and repeatable way.Position – how you’ll contributeAs a Platform Engineer, you will work close to the infrastructure layer. The role focuses on automation, integration and platform services that interact with physical and virtual infrastructure, storage, networking and lifecycle management tooling. This is not a classic DevOps-only role. We are looking for engineers who understand infrastructure deeply and can also contribute to automation, Python-based services, agents or integrations. You will work with backend/API developers and infrastructure specialists to support provisioning, lifecycle automation and secure access to platform capabilities.Expectations – the experience you needStrong infrastructure engineering background in data center, hosting, cloud or platform environmentsPractical experience with Linux, server provisioning and infrastructure automationGood scripting or development skills, preferably PythonUnderstanding of APIs, SDKs and integration with infrastructure toolingExperience with Git, CI/CD and automation workflowsAbility to work close to infrastructure and understand the operational impact of automationStrong troubleshooting skillsSenior ownership mindset and ability to document technical decisionsAdditional skills – the edge you haveExperience with bare metal provisioning, PXE/iPXE, boot order management, firmware or BMC/IPMI/RedfishExperience with storage platforms, block/file storage, NVMe over Ethernet or RoCEExperience with Kubernetes operators or Kubernetes infrastructure integrationsFamiliarity with Nautobot, NetBox or CMDB/source-of-truth toolingExperience building Python microservices or agents that interact with infrastructure APIsKnowledge of multi-tenant environments, RBAC and secure infrastructure access modelsExperience with high-performance computing, GPU-heavy infrastructure or large-scale platform environmentsSoftware Mind develops solutions that make an impact for companies around the globe.
