Controller

We are seeking an experienced and detail\-oriented Financial Controller on a part\-time contractor basis. This role is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in a flexible environment and can bring strong accounting oversight, financial reporting, and operational finance expertise. Responsibilities * Oversee day\-to\-day accounting operations and financial controls * Prepare and review monthly financial statements and reports * Manage cash flow forecasting and budgeting * Ensure accuracy of bookkeeping, reconciliations, and general ledger activity * Coordinate with external accountants, tax professionals, and auditors * Develop and improve financial processes and reporting systems * Monitor financial performance and provide strategic insights to leadership * Support compliance with tax filings and regulatory requirements * Assist with payroll oversight and contractor/vendor payments as needed Qualifications * 5\+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or controllership roles * Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting * Experience with small to mid\-sized businesses preferred * Proficiency in QuickBooks * Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills * Ability to work independently and manage priorities efficiently * CPA or equivalent financial certification is a plus Position Details * Contractor / 1099 position * Flexible schedule: approximately 10–30 hours per week * Remote\-friendly * Hourly compensation based on experience If you are a proactive finance professional who enjoys helping businesses build strong financial foundations, we’d love to hear from you.
