Accounting & Payroll Specialist

Keylin Advisors is a growing tax, accounting, payroll, and advisory firm serving small businesses and individuals. Our client teams pair Leads and Specialists with a Client Advisor, so you'll always know who you work with and who reviews your work. We're hiring someone who can keep clients' books accurate and also process payroll. Most of your hours go to bookkeeping and reconciliation. A defined share goes to payroll, where you'll be trained as the backup processor so no payroll run ever depends on one person. If you're strong in one area and want to learn the other, we'll train you. What you'll do **Accounting (about 65–75% of your time)** * Keep an assigned set of client books current: match transactions, process invoices and bill payments * Reconcile bank and credit card accounts and check that financial statements look reasonable before review * Post payroll transactions to clients' accounting systems after each pay period * Fix broken bank feeds and software integrations * Prepare vendor tracking reports and 1099s for review by your Accounting Lead **Payroll (about 25–35% of your time)** * Process weekly and biweekly payroll for a small set of clients: collect hours, enter payroll, run it * Serve as backup processor for our payroll team during time off and peak weeks * Update employee information in the payroll system and send payroll documents to clients * Help prepare quarterly payroll tax filings **Across both** * Keep our workflow system (Karbon) up to date and your inbox cleared * Flag questions and ambiguous items to your Lead rather than guessing * Notice when a client could use more help and pass it along to your Lead When a payroll deadline and a month\-end close deadline land in the same week, payroll comes first, and your Leads help rebalance the rest. What we're looking for **Required** * 2\+ years of hands\-on bookkeeping or payroll experience, ideally serving multiple clients * Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Online Payroll, or similar software * Strong attention to detail and comfort with recurring, deadline\-driven work * Clear, professional written and spoken communication with clients and teammates **Preferred** * Experience in both bookkeeping and payroll (we'll train the one you know less) * Experience at an accounting firm or with multiple client books * Coursework or a degree in accounting or a related field (equivalent experience counts) * QuickBooks ProAdvisor or payroll certification Pay: $25\.00 \- $32\.00 per hour Expected hours: 24\.0 per week Work Location: Remote
