Job Description

Providence caregivers are not simply valued – they’re invaluable. Join our team at Enterprise Information Services and thrive in our culture of patient-focused, whole-person care built on understanding, commitment, and mutual respect. Your voice matters here, because we know that to inspire and retain the best people, we must empower them.Step into the heartbeat of innovation as a Principal Engineering Program Manager, where strategy meets creativity and technology fuels transformation. In this role, you’ll partner with exceptional Engineering teams to architect services that truly delight caregivers across Providence, solutions that are intuitive, reliable, and built to scale. You’ll shape vision and design multi‑year roadmaps that unify the end‑to‑end endpoint lifecycle: from standards and qualification, to zero‑touch provisioning, security posture, patching and compliance, and ultimately refresh and retirement. You’ll bring structure to complexity by establishing operating rhythms, orchestration models, and enterprise programs that keep our endpoint ecosystem modern, resilient, and caregiver‑centric. With a front‑row seat across the full lifecycle, from ideation to adoption, you’ll champion the voice of the caregiver while building the mechanisms that make lifecycle management “invisible” to end users: devices that arrive ready to work, stay healthy through automated remediation, and evolve based on telemetry‑driven insights rather than arbitrary timelines. You’ll also partner with the engineering leaders to mature the data foundation that lifecycle depends on, driving clarity on authoritative sources, strengthening CMDB/asset integrity, and ensuring we can confidently measure lifecycle state, compliance, and readiness across the fleet using integrated signals (e.g., endpoint platforms and telemetry sources). This is a role built for a Program Leader who thrives in fast‑paced environments, loves solving complex problems, and enjoys mentoring others. If you’re energized by turning big ideas into real‑world outcomes: modernizing lifecycle through automation, improving reliability at scale, and continuously refining the ecosystem that supports thousands of caregivers, this is your chance to lead with influence, deliver with excellence, and create technology that leaves a lasting mark.Providence supports 100% virtual work for residents located in the following areas:AlaskaWashingtonOregonMontanaCaliforniaTexas: Lubbock (within 75 miles)Texas: Levelland (within 75 miles)Texas: Plainview (within 75 miles)Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering -OR- a combination of equivalent education and experience8 or more years of related experiencePreferred Qualifications:Master's Degree -OR- a combination of equivalent education and experienceExperience in a Healthcare environment8+ years of experience as a program/project manager overseeing large, complex IT programs involving multiple teams8+ years of planning and leading organizational change to ensure lifecycle initiatives are adopted with minimal disruption5+ years of experience in endpoint engineering, EUC, or digital workplace analytics5+ years of experience defining and owning end‑to‑end endpoint lifecycle strategies across large, complex enterprises.4+ years of healthcare IT experience or 4 years of supply chain/contract management experience4+ years working on physical deployment programs across multiple geographic locationsExperience working with OEMs and suppliers for hardware distributionExperience leading qualification, standards, and RFP‑based evaluation processes for PCs, Macs, mobile, thin clients, and peripheralsExperience with data manipulation in excel or Power BIExperience with Azure Dev OpsExperience translating complex technical lifecycle work into clear, compelling narratives for executives and senior leadershipStrong understanding of Windows endpoint environments, hardware lifecycle, and modern managementFamiliarity with ServiceNow, ITSM integrations, or incident reduction automationExperience supporting Windows 11 / modern OS transitionsSelf starter and willing to take the initiative when give directionsStrong collaboration, documentation, and communication skillsSalary Range by Location: AK: Anchorage: Min: $68.33, Max: $116.36 AK: Kodiak, Seward, Valdez: Min: $71.23, Max: $121.29 California: Humboldt: Min: $71.23, Max: $121.29 California: Northern California - Except Humboldt: Min: $79.92, Max: $136.08 California: Southern California: Min: $71.23, Max: $121.29 Montana: Except Great Falls: Min: $55.01, Max: $93.68 Montana: Great Falls: Min: $52.12, Max: $88.75 Oregon: Non-Portland Service Area: Min: $63.70, Max: $108.47 Oregon: Portland Service Area: Min: $68.33, Max: $116.36 Texas – Lubbock, Levelland, Plainview: Min: Min: $52.12, Max: $88.75 Washington: Western: Min: $71.23, Max: $121.29 Washington: Southwest - Olympia, Centralia: Min: $68.33, Max: $116.36 Washington: Clar
