Job Description
The Hardware Operations Manager is responsible for organizing, driving, and communicating all cross-functional operational work for Atari’s Hardware division. This role serves as the central project owner across internal teams, ensuring hardware products move smoothly from concept through manufacturing readiness and launch coordination.This position partners closely with internal stakeholders (Creative, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Logistics), the PR/Communications team (who own go-to-market execution), and the Manufacturing Production Manager (who owns factory execution). The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable owning complex, cross-functional initiatives in a fast-moving, global environment.What You’ll DoProject Ownership & OrchestrationOwn the end-to-end operational project plan for hardware initiatives, from early concept through manufacturing readiness and launch coordinationDefine, maintain, and communicate project timelines, milestones, dependencies, and delivery targetsTrack project status daily, identify risks, and proactively escalate issues with clear options and tradeoffsEnsure hardware programs do not stall due to misalignment, missed handoffs, or unclear ownershipCross-Functional CoordinationServe as the primary day-to-day operational driver across Creative, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Logistics, and external partnersCoordinate with Creative on packaging, creative development, and approval timelinesPartner with PR/Communications to ensure hardware readiness supports planned go-to-market timingRepresent the Hardware team on internal project and planning calls, ensuring follow-ups, documentation, and alignmentManufacturing Readiness & External CoordinationCoordinate manufacturing readiness in partnership with the Manufacturing Production ManagerAlign internal timelines with manufacturing realities, capacity constraints, and delivery windowsCoordinate with licensees and external partners on schedules, approvals, and readiness milestonesEnsure approved designs, documentation, and requirements are complete and ready for factory executionPlanning, Documentation & VisibilityCreate and maintain accurate project tracking systems (Asana, Jira, or similar)Organize and manage all digital project documentation, ensuring appropriate access for internal and external stakeholdersAssist in project-level financial planning and forecasting, partnering with the Manufacturing Production Manager on manufacturing cost inputsPrepare and deliver clear internal and external status updates and leadership-level reportingWhat We’re Looking ForStrong project management and organizational skills, with 4+ years of running complex initiatives end-to-endExcellent communication and active listening skills, with the ability to translate information across teamsExperience working with project or task management systems (Asana, Jira, or similar)Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders across functions and time zonesComfort operating in ambiguity and proactively driving work forwardSalary Range: $100,000 - $115,000Originally posted on Himalayas
