About JerseySTEMAll JerseySTEM roles are pro-bono (unpaid) positions.JerseySTEM is a mission-driven professional network of pro-bono contributors dedicated to improving access to STEM education and career pathways for underserved middle school girls in New Jersey.Members contribute their professional skills and leverage their networks in service of the organization’s gender-equity agenda.Membership is a minimum six-month commitment of approximately six flexible hours per week and includes a $100 refundable deposit, returned after six months of active membership. K–12 educators, retirees, veterans, interns, and students are exempt from the deposit.OverviewThis is a pro-bono position.JerseySTEM is looking for talented professionals across our departments to commit time and energy as long-term engagement for our mission to provide STEM education to underrepresented middle school girls.ResponsibilitiesOwn and execute JerseySTEM’s social media strategy across platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, and FacebookDefine content pillars and messaging aligned with JerseySTEM’s mission and goalsOversee content planning and calendars including image sourcing and copywritingManage and guide contributors (analysts, designers, volunteers) involved in social media executionLead community management and foster meaningful engagement with followersAnalyze performance metrics, prepare reports, and translate insights into actionable improvementsIdentify trends, opportunities, and best practices related to STEM education, volunteerism, and corporate social responsibilityPartner with internal teams to support campaigns, initiatives, and storytelling effortsExplore and evaluate influencer, partner, and brand collaboration opportunitiesQualifications2 years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, or content strategyExperience developing and executing social media strategiesStrong copywriting, storytelling, and visual content direction skillsAbility to think strategically while remaining hands-on when neededExcellent organizational, prioritization, and communication skillsExperience working with analytics and performance reportingFamiliarity with Google tools (Docs, Slides, Sheets)Proficiency with tools such as Canva; experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plusComfortable leading in a remote, volunteer-based environmentProactive mindset, strong sense of ownership, and eagerness to learn and growMust-Have: Good Knowledge of MS ClarityCommitment: 5–10 hours per week (average)This is a pro-bono position.Originally posted on Himalayas
