Vector Database Engineer

Job Title: Database Administrator (DBA) Location: Remote Duration: 12 Months Job Description: Seeking an experienced Database Administrator with 5\+ years of SQL database administration. The ideal candidate will manage database performance, security, and availability while supporting maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization activities. **Key Responsibilities:** * Respond to database issues and user\-reported errors in a timely manner * Perform database maintenance, upgrades, backups, recovery, and migrations * Ensure database security, integrity, and high availability * Optimize and write efficient SQL queries and in\-application statements * Monitor and report on database performance and usage metrics * Protect databases from unauthorized access and security threats * Collaborate with developers, IT teams, and stakeholders * Design and maintain databases for both front\-end and back\-end applications * Analyze server resource usage and implement performance improvements * Recommend enhancements for database maintenance and security **Required Skills:** * 5\+ years of experience in SQL database administration * Strong experience with relational databases and query optimization * Expertise in backup, recovery, and performance tuning * Experience configuring database engines and managing clusters * Proficiency with version control tools such as GitLab * Familiarity with SSIS packages * Strong troubleshooting and problem\-solving skills * Excellent verbal communication and collaboration skills **Preferred Qualifications:** * Experience with modern database technologies and tools * Ability to plan and manage database resource requirements * Familiarity with performance monitoring and profiling tools This is a fully remote opportunity for a skilled DBA to support critical database operations and improvements.
