Walmart Inventory and Ops Specialist

About the Role:The Walmart Inventory and Ops Specialist will own end-to-end inventory visibility, PO coordination, and supply chain execution across our clients key sales channels and fulfillment network. This person will ensure inventory is planned, ordered, tracked, received, and allocated correctly across DTC, B2B, Walmart, and two fulfillment centers. This role sits at the center of operations, working closely with internal teams, fulfillment partners, and channel partners to keep inventory moving on schedule and prevent stockouts, overstock issues, shipment delays, and communication gaps. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, proactive, and comfortable managing detailed operating processes on a daily, weekly, and monthly cadence.Core Tasks:Manage monthly PO planning, submissions, tracking, and vendor confirmationMonitor inventory levels across both fulfillment centers and all active SKUsRun daily checks on key SKUs and escalate stockout risks immediatelyForecast demand across DTC, B2B, and Walmart as a dedicated channelManage Walmart inventory needs through RJW and SPS Commerce workflowsUpload reports into the forecasting tool and review inventory recommendationsLead weekly meetings to review POs, production, and shipmentsTrack inbound shipments and confirm inventory is received at the correct facilityCoordinate inventory allocation between fulfillment centers and channel needsMaintain accurate PO, inventory, shipment, and forecast trackersMonitor new SKU development, pricing, and production timelinesDocument updates, risks, action items, and recommendations for stakeholdersMust Haves:3+ years of experience in inventory, supply chain, logistics, or ecommerce operationsHands-on Walmart operations experience, including forecasting and inventory planningExperience using SPS Commerce for EDI, order management, or shipment workflowsExperience with POs, inventory trackers, shipment timelines, and vendor follow-upsIntermediate - advanced skills with Google Sheets skills for inventory tracking/ analysisHighly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-throughAble to identify stockout risks, shipment delays, and inventory issues earlyStrong written and verbal english communication skillsAbility to work full-time ESTNice to Haves:Experience with DTC, Amazon, Shopify, or other ecommerce channelsExperience coordinating with manufacturers on new product developmentBackground in supplements, CPG, beauty, wellness, or consumer products Originally posted on Himalayas
