Accounting Manager

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading the accounting process, supporting team members, and building strong client relationships in a collaborative and uplifting environment. **What you will be doing** As an Accounting Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of small to mid\-sized clients while leading and supporting Staff Accountants. This role is more focused on reviewing, guiding, and elevating work, while also stepping in when needed. * Manage and oversee **multiple client engagements simultaneously** * Serve as the primary accounting lead and main point of contact for clients * Review work prepared by Staff Accountants to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency * Provide real\-time feedback and guidance to help team members grow and succeed * Step in and perform accounting work when needed to support the team and maintain quality * Oversee monthly close processes, including review of reconciliations and financials * Review and finalize monthly financial statements with meaningful insights for clients * Identify errors, inconsistencies, and process gaps, and implement improvements * Support budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking * Collaborate closely with internal team members to ensure a consistent client experience * Help drive process improvements across workflows, systems, and deliverables **Leadership and team support** * Train and mentor Staff Accountants in a supportive, encouraging, and hands\-on way * Foster a collaborative, positive, and accountable team environment * Provide clear direction while empowering team members to take ownership of their work * Approach feedback with kindness and a genuine interest in helping others grow * Lead by example by maintaining strong organization, communication, and attention to detail **What makes someone successful in this role** * Experience **managing multiple clients** in a fast\-moving environment * Strong ability to review work critically while coaching others in a constructive way * Highly organized with the ability to prioritize across clients and team needs * A strong sense of ownership and accountability for both your work and your team’s work * Clear, confident, and relationship\-driven communication with clients and colleagues * A proactive mindset when identifying issues and improving processes **Qualifications** * Proven experience in a Senior Bookkeeper, Staff Accountant, or Accounting Manager role handling **multiple clients (required)** * Prior experience reviewing and supervising the work of others is strongly preferred * Strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP * Experien
