Bookkeeping Manager – CPA Firm

**About** **Kustov \& Associates, Inc.** is a growing CPA firm serving businesses, entrepreneurs, startups, high\-net\-worth individuals, and clients with international and multi\-state operations. We are looking for an experienced **Bookkeeping Manager** to lead and oversee our bookkeeping and client accounting services. Responsibilities * Manage and supervise the firm’s bookkeeping team and client accounts. * Review monthly bookkeeping, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements for accuracy and completeness. * Oversee month\-end and year\-end closing procedures. * Review general ledgers and identify accounting errors, unusual transactions, and required adjustments. * Ensure client books are maintained properly and are ready for tax preparation and financial reporting. * Communicate directly with clients regarding accounting questions, missing information, and reporting needs. * Train, supervise, and support bookkeeping staff. * Establish efficient bookkeeping procedures, workflows, and quality\-control standards. * Coordinate with the firm’s tax and audit professionals. * Work with QuickBooks Online and other accounting and financial applications. * Help implement automation and the latest AI tools to make accounting work more efficient, accurate, and enjoyable. * Work with clients operating in traditional industries as well as technology, startups, and cryptocurrency\-related businesses. Qualifications * Strong practical bookkeeping and accounting experience. * Experience managing or reviewing the work of other bookkeepers or accountants. * Excellent understanding of general ledger accounting, bank and credit\-card reconciliations, accruals, adjusting entries, and financial statements. * Strong QuickBooks Online skills. * Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. * Good written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to identify problems rather than simply process transactions. * CPA firm or professional accounting firm experience is strongly preferred.
