Job Description

Montana Psychiatry, a Turnwell Mental Health Network entity is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Remote Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will support providers and clinical staff by coordinating patient care activities, assisting with administrative workflows, and ensuring patients receive timely communication and guidance throughout their care journey. Your strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and empathetic communication style will help create a positive and efficient patient experience while supporting high\-quality mental health care delivery in a remote environment. **Responsibilities** **Patient Care Support** * Help patients feel supported, comfortable, and informed throughout their care experience * Assist patients with completing required forms and documentation electronically * Answer patient questions and route concerns to the appropriate clinical or administrative staff * Support patient preparation for psychiatric services and treatments as directed by the care team **Administrative Coordination** * Manage appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations * Maintain electronic health records (EHR) accurately and confidentially * Handle incoming calls, patient messages, and portal communications * Assist with insurance verification and prior authorization processes * Manage medical records and documentation to ensure accessibility and accuracy **Clinical Coordination** * Assist psychiatrists and advanced practice providers with coordination requests and follow\-up needs * Send basic laboratory orders as directed by providers * Communicate with external provider offices regarding care coordination. **Patient Education** * Provide patients with educational materials, instructions, and resources as directed by the clinical team * Reinforce treatment plan instructions, medication guidance, and follow\-up procedures * Address general patient questions regarding care processes and next steps **Team Collaboration** * Work closely with psychiatrists, advanced practice providers, therapists, nurses, and administrative staff to support continuity of care * Participate in team meetings and care coordination discussions as needed. **Remote Work Expectations** * Maintain a private, secure, and HIPAA\-compliant workspace free from interruptions * Use Montana Psychiatry–approved equipment, systems, and communication platforms * Maintain reliable high\-speed internet access during scheduled working hours * Remain available and responsive during assigned shifts, including phone and messaging systems * Adhere to all HIPAA, confidentiality, and data security policies when working remotely * Participate in virtual meetings, trainings, and team collaboration activities * Demonstrate self\-direction, accountability, and strong time\-management skills while working independently * Follow all Montana Psychiatry policies and procedures related to remote work and patient communication **
