Job Description

The Solution Owner is accountable for end‑to‑end ownership of one or more Sonexus solutions, with primary responsibility for Salesforce‑based platforms including ConnectSource and Marketing Cloud, ensuring predictable delivery, operational stability, financial stewardship, and strong alignment with business and product partners. This role serves as the primary point of accountability for solution outcomes, reducing fragmented ownership, minimizing escalation‑driven delivery, improving consistency of execution, and ensuring build‑to‑run transitions and run stability are explicitly owned and measurable. This role leads cross‑functional delivery teams responsible for building, implementing, and sustaining solutions on a customized Salesforce ecosystem (Salesforce Core, Marketing Cloud, integrations, and hybrid services). The Solution Owner ensures work is planned, governed, delivered, and transitioned to run in alignment with the Sonexus IT operating model, Salesforce best practices, and enterprise SDLC standards.What Commercial Technologies Software Engineering contributes to Cardinal Health Commercial Technologies manages the enterprise's portfolio of commercial technologies to maximize the business value of the technologies and enhance the customer experience. This function creates strategies for the portfolio and innovative solutions based on relationships with business leaders, develops back-end solutions and capabilities, and improves the front-end experience. Commercial Technologies Software Engineering develops design options, process improvements and back-end solutions for commercial technologies to maximize performance and suitability for business needs. This job family manages engineering projects and plans for commercial technologies and interfaces with product managers to develop objectives. This job family assesses product systems, identifies opportunities for process and system improvements, and develops solutions through application of engineering principles.ResponsibilitiesSolution Ownership & Delivery Own end‑to‑end outcomes for assigned solutions across intake, build, implementation, transition to run, and ongoing support, with a primary focus on Salesforce ConnectSource and Marketing Cloud Serve as the single accountable owner for Salesforce solution delivery, stability, and outcomes, eliminating fragmented ownership across onshore and offshore teams Translate product and business goals into executable delivery plans with clear scope, milestones, dependencies, and success criteria across Salesforce configuration, development, integration, and data components Ensure predictable delivery through disciplined planning, estimation, execution, and follow‑through Establish and enforce solution‑level decision rights for Salesforce implementations, reducing day‑to‑day escalation by driving decisions with clear options, tradeoffs, and recommended paths Planning, Financial & Capacity Management Develop and manage delivery plans, schedules, and budgets for assigned Salesforce solutions Translate Salesforce‑specific LOE (configuration, custom code, integrations, testing) into schedule and cost forecasts Maintain onshore and offshore capacity plans, aligning priorities to Salesforce skill sets and avoiding role overlap or single‑threading Own solution‑level resource management across Engineering, BA, QA, PM, Salesforce administrators, developers, integration specialists, and partner teams Understand and manage capital vs. expense treatment aligned to enterprise finance standards for Salesforce initiatives Protect Sonexus revenue by understanding financial impact, margin implications, and revenue risk tied to Salesforce delivery decisions SDLC Governance, Delivery Discipline & Flow of Work Define and operate a consistent, well‑understood flow of work for Salesforce solutions from intake through delivery, release, hypercare, and run Ensure adherence to enterprise SDLC gates, QA standards, Salesforce release management practices, and structured change control Maintain delivery hygiene through WBS, RAID logs, risk management, decision logs, and issue tracking for Salesforce initiatives Apply governance that is disciplined and right‑sized, avoiding over‑engineered Salesforce processes used to compensate for weak delivery fundamentals Identify recurring Salesforce delivery and operational breakdowns and drive targeted process improvements rooted in root‑cause analysis Adjust planning, governance, and communication practices based on delivery phase and observed Salesforce outcomes, reinforcing continuous improvement Build‑to‑Run Transition & Run Stability Ensure Salesforce build‑to‑run transitions are clearly defined, documented, and executed, including readiness criteria, deployment documentation, and knowledge transfer Be accountable for Salesforce solution stability post‑release, including ConnectSource and Marketing Cloud operations Partner with support and run teams to triage, prioritize, and resolve Sa
