Currently, the company is hiring DevOps and platform engineer to join their Application Observability team. This team plays a critical role in managing services within the Service Reliability and Observability (SRO) departmentResponsibilities:Defining and refining monitoring and alerting rules, both for the team and organisation-wideWork together with other teams (Platform and Observability Backend) to enhance performance and fulfil user storiesWorking on projects such as Grafanas migration from on-premises data centres to AWS by planning, defining requirements, supervising and implementingImproving the deployment of services using Git workflows and ArgoCDProposing and validating performance and user experience improvements for team servicesAddressing issues, implementing preventive measures and managing postmortems and related improvement tasksAnalysing performance, identifying anomalies and defining, documenting and implementing corrective measuresEnsuring compliance with the SLARequirements:software engineer with a strong background in DevOps and platform engineeringA minimum of 3 years of experience as an infrastructure engineer or within the SRE domainProven experience in ownership roles, including defining strategies, deploying, monitoring, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changesStrong sense of ownership with a proactive, can-do attitudeHands-on experience with server-side technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, EKS or OpenShiftExpertise in managing observability and monitoring tools, such as Grafana, Prometheus, ELK Stack, tracing tools and OpenTelemetryUpper-Intermediate English skillsAbility to start ASAP (preferred)Company offers:6 months contract + an option for prolonging for an additional 6 monthsAn inspiring environment in a large IT organizationWork in an international team, which concentrates on innovative business-facing solutionsOriginally posted on Himalayas
