Job Description
We are seeking a strategic and user-focused Product Manager to join our growing healthcare SaaS team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in product management and a passion for improving healthcare through technology. You will be responsible for driving the development and enhancement of digital products that serve healthcare providers, payers, and patients, ensuring they are compliant, scalable, and impactful. As a Product Manager, you will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, clinical, and compliance teams to deliver solutions that meet market needs and regulatory standards. You’ll own the product lifecycle from discovery to delivery, leveraging data, customer insights, and industry trends to inform decisions and prioritize features.Key Responsibilities: 1. Healthcare Industry Knowledge & Regulatory AcumenFamiliarity with clinical workflows and terminologyAbility to navigate clinical frameworks and translate to product requirementsAwareness of patient safety and data privacy concerns (PHI)Maintains general understanding of HIPAA and other compliance standards2. Strategic Product ThinkingAlign product vision with business goals and market needs.Develop product strategies that drive value for both users and the businessPrioritize features based on impact, feasibility, and compliance to create a roadmapIdentify market opportunities and de-risking product ideas through experimentation, voice of customer, and market/competitive research3. Technical Proficiency & Integration AwarenessUnderstanding of software development processes and agile methodologiesKnowledge of healthcare SaaS platforms (e.g., EHRs, telemedicine tools)Ensures interoperability with legacy systems and existing healthcare infrastructure4. User-Centric Design & Customer InsightConducts user research and usability testing to gather feedback, update requirements, and provide commercial guidance on value propositionHelps designs intuitive, accessible, and compliant user experiencesChampion intuitive, accessible, and compliant user experiences tailored to anesthesia workflows5. Cross-Functional Leadership & CommunicationServes as the bridge between engineering, design, clinical experts, and business teams.Leads cross-functional teams through the product lifecycle including refinement and launchCommunicates clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholdersAlign diverse teams around shared goals and manage expectations effectivelyRequired Qualifications:Education & Experience GuidelinesBachelor’s degree in: Computer Science, Business Administration, Health Informatics, Engineering, Life Sciences or related field4-6 years of relevant work experienceProficiency in AI/ML technologies and data-driven product managementProven track record of launching and iteratively improving digital products.Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams (engineering, design, clinical, compliance).Experience working in agile environments and managing product backlogs including systems like JIRA or Azure DevOps.Hands-on experience with product analytics tools (e.g., Google Analtyics, Gainsight, etc).Ability to interpret healthcare data and use it to inform product strategy.Experience working with legal or compliance teams during product development.Travel up to 30% may be requiredOther Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:Familiarity with EHR systems, clinical workflows, or health data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR).Exposure to HIPAA, GDPR, or other healthcare-related compliance frameworks.Master’s degree or certifications in:Product Management (e.g., Pragmatic Institute, General Assembly)Healthcare Administration or Public HealthMBA with a focus on technology or healthcareCertifications like Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or PMI-ACPFortive 9 Behaviors by Level: Influencing & MentoringCustomer Obsessed: Champions a customer-focused culture by anticipating evolving needs and shaping solutions that deliver long-term value.Strategic: Drives organizational impact by using data to derive insights that inform near-term and mid-range goalsInnovation for Impact: Influences innovation through demonstrating bold thinking and experimentation in own work and coaching others to do the same.
