About the Role:Grade Level (for internal use):09The Team: The Enterprise Solutions AI Product team drives Generative AI adoption across S&P Global through innovation and demonstration. We partner with product teams to explore GenAI-powered solutions, establish best practices for AI product development, and create proof-of-concept applications that showcase the "art of possible." Operating in the define and design phases of product development, we build architecture specifications and working prototypes that demonstrate business value and guide production implementation teams.Responsibilities and Impact:Design and build proof-of-concept applications that demonstrate GenAI capabilities and business value to stakeholders across the organizationCreate comprehensive architecture specifications and technical designs for GenAI solutions using AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, and other enterprise AI platformsCollaborate with business stakeholders to understand use cases, translate requirements into technical solutions, and communicate complex AI concepts in accessible termsPartner with product teams during ideation phases to identify opportunities for GenAI integration and design feasible solution approachesDevelop within corporate AWS environments and infosec requirements, ensuring POC designs can transition smoothly to production teamsEstablish and document best practices, design patterns, and reusable components for GenAI solution developmentStay current on emerging GenAI technologies and evaluate their potential application within our enterprise contextCompensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only): S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $74,000 to $108,414. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for additional compensation such as an incentive bonus plan.This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits. For more information on the benefits we provide to our employees, visit https://www.spgbenefitessentials.com/newhires.What We're Looking For:Basic Required Qualifications:3+ years of hands-on software development experience, with demonstrated ability to build functional applications from concept to working prototypePractical experience with GenAI platforms (AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, Azure OpenAI, or similar)Strong grasp of solution architecture principles, with ability to design systems that balance innovation with enterprise constraintsExcellent communication skills—you can explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and translate business needs into technical requirementsComfort working in the "messy middle" of innovation: rapid prototyping, iterating based on feedback, and knowing when a POC is "done enough"Enthusiasm for staying hands-on with code while also thinking strategically about product directionAdditional Preferred Qualifications:Experience working in Innovation Studio, R&D, or similar exploratory product development environmentsTrack record of creating compelling technical demonstrations that drive business decisions or secure stakeholder buy-inFamiliarity with financial services technology landscape or regulatory/compliance considerationsAbility to context-switch between multiple POC projects and adapt quickly to changing prioritiesExperience collaborating with architecture review boards or navigating corporate application registration processesBackground in data engineering, ETL pipelines, or document processing workflowsThis role is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States.Flexible Working We pride ourselves on our agility and diversity, and we welcome requests to work flexibly.
