The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills with a solid understanding of reporting best practices, automation, and platform stewardship in a federated BI environment.This role partners closely with business stakeholders, platform teams, and governance groups to deliver reliable, compliant, and scalable BI solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain Power BI reports with complex data models to meet business requirementsLeverage Power Automate to design and deploy automation solutions for routine business tasks and data workflowsUtilize SQL, DAX, M, and Python to manipulate, analyze, and validate large and complex datasetsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reporting solutions align with Power BI best practices and governance standardsDesign, develop, and maintain YAML-based code stored in Azure DevOps Repos to support automation and data workflowsBuild and schedule Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines to execute Power BI archival, audit, and compliance processesSupport Power BI enterprise governance and administration, including:Enforcing owner governance standards across workspaces and reportsDefining and performing audit processes for report, workspace, and semantic model usagePublishing Power BI reports and apps on behalf of federated teams in accordance with governance standardsOwning workspace, app, and semantic model compliance, including metadata, security, and certification requirementsPartner with BI, platform, and governance stakeholders to identify unused or non-compliant Power BI assetsMonitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Azure Data Factory pipelines and scheduled governance workflowsMaintain documentation and operational runbooks related to Power BI governance and automationFollow DevOps best practices, including version control, code reviews, and environment-based deploymentsQualifications3+ years of professional experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics Engineering, or Data EngineeringStrong hands-on experience with Power BI, including report development, data modeling, and workspace managementWorking knowledge of SQL, DAX, and Power Query (M); experience with Python for data processing or automationExperience building automation using Power AutomateFamiliarity with Azure DevOps, including Repos and YAML-based code managementExperience working with Azure Data Factory, including pipeline development, scheduling, and monitoringDemonstrated experience with Power BI enterprise governance, compliance, or administrative processesUnderstanding of BI best practices related to security, performance, and lifecycle managementExperience using Git-based version control and participating in code reviewsStrong collaboration and communication skills when working with technical and non-technical partnersMust be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI to explore better processes and ways to alleviate friction and improve patient and client experiences.This is a remote position; however, candidates must be willing and able to travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations as business needs require.Preferred QualificationsExperience in a federated or enterprise-scale Power BI environmentExposure to Power BI REST APIs, service principals, or tenant-level administrationFamiliarity with data governance, audit, or compliance programsAzure or Power Platform certificationsThis position pays between $84,000-126,000 based on experienceThis posting addresses state-specific requirements to provide pay transparency.
