Bookkeeper

**Job Summary** We are seeking a detail\-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a mission\-driven organization that values integrity, transparency, and excellence in financial management. **Responsibilities** * Maintain accurate general ledger accounting by recording journal entries, debits \& credits, and reconciling accounts regularly * Process payroll efficiently, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing in accordance with applicable laws and standards * Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, verifying invoices, issuing payments, and tracking outstanding balances * Conduct bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure consistency across all financial statements * Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, and other financial systems to streamline bookkeeping tasks * Prepare detailed financial reports including budgets, financial statements, and analysis reports for internal review and external audits * Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and relevant accounting standards while maintaining thorough documentation of all transactions **Experience** * Proven bookkeeping experience with a strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping principles and general ledger accounting * Hands\-on experience with popular accounting software including QuickBooks (Desktop \& Online), Xero, Sage, and other financial software systems * Familiarity with governmental accounting practices and non\-profit accounting is a plus * Demonstrated ability to perform account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and account analysis accurately * Knowledge of payroll processing procedures and tax experience related to payroll is highly desirable * Strong proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets), 10\-key typing skills, and data entry accuracy * Experience working within public or corporate accounting environments with a focus on compliance with accounting standards such as GAAP Join us in a role that combines technical expertise with meaningful impact!
