Job DescriptionRequired Certificates and Licenses: Michigan Teaching Certification Required. Residency Requirements: Must reside in Michigan. The Elementary Screening and Tutoring Coordinatorassists Elementary Principals in managing available intervention and tutoring resources. This positions supports individual student reading screening, coordination of grade band math and reading screening and referral programs, and coordination of Tutoring services. Join us!This is a full-time position. Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week is required. Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during workday, typically 9-5 (or 8-4) or as defined by the school.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.Support 1:1 student screenings for reading levels utilizing school tools.Coordinate elementary screening and benchmark planning under the direction of Elementary Principals.Maintain student records, coordinate tiered support lists and available student resources.Manage student Stride Tutoring referrals and account creation.Support families with account creation, scheduling tutoring sessions and support regular attendance through outreach, training and general support.Monitor student attendance and provide engagement intervention as needed.Assist with designing measures for student outcomes, analyze student performance data, and make program recommendations in response to dataCollaborate with the Director of Tutoring Services and other leadership to identify and assist in designing and implementing tutoring practices that meet customer needsProvide general leadership and be an active participant in the development of team objectivesCultivate a collaborative working environment that encourages communication, innovation, and refinement of the best instructional practicesReview reports and other ancillary data to identify areas of concern relative to tutor performance and create actionable plans to address deficiencies and replicate successesMonitor compliance with accountability measuresMeet professional obligations through efficient work habits, such as meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating resources and meetings in an effective and timely manner, and demonstrating respect for othersMay require occasional evening hours Supervisory Responsibilities: There are no supervisory responsibilities for this role. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s Degree AND3 or more years of experience in a Virtual SchoolLETRS Training or Equivalent Science of Reading TrainingEquivalent combination of education and experience OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSAbility to work with and through people to establish goals, objectives, and action plansStrong knowledge of instructional and educational leadership strategies, online instructional design theories, and learning style theoriesHighly organized with the ability to coordinate complex programs and processesWorks effectively as a team member and leaderEmploys innovative problem-solving techniques to accomplish objectivesAbility to travel 10% of the timeAbility to clear required background check Certificates and Licenses: Valid state license required.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSMaster’s DegreeReading Endorsement or Masters in Field.Demonstrated experience in supervision, training, and development of teachersPossesses knowledge of technical systems used within the organization WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
