In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, end-to-end features across both frontend and backend systems, ensuring strong engineering standards, testing, and operational readiness.You will work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment, contributing to continuous delivery practices, automation, and platform quality while supporting reliable and scalable digital services.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and deliver end-to-end features using React, TypeScript, and .NET/C#Build and maintain scalable, secure, and maintainable applications and servicesFollow established architecture, coding standards, and design system conventionsWrite and maintain unit and integration tests, contributing to UI/API automationEnsure accessibility, performance, and quality standards are metContribute to and improve CI/CD pipelines, including quality gates such as testing, security scanning, and static analysisImplement observability practices (logging, metrics, tracing) to support monitoring and troubleshootingParticipate in incident resolution and continuous improvement activitiesCollaborate with Product, UX, QA, Architecture, and Operations teams to refine requirements and deliver valueContribute to technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge sharingIdentify and address technical debt and defects, participating in peer reviewsSupport non-functional requirements, including performance, security, and reliabilityParticipate in Agile ceremonies, chapters, and guilds to promote best practicesProvide out-of-hours support as part of an agreed rotaRequirementsStrong experience with React, TypeScript, and .NET/C#Experience building RESTful APIs and full stack applicationsSolid understanding of frontend frameworks, backend services, and cloud-native patternsExperience with source control systems (e.g., Git, Bitbucket)Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, and DevOps practicesHands-on experience with unit and integration testing, with exposure to UI/E2E or contract testingUnderstanding of automation and continuous delivery principlesBasic knowledge of observability tools, including logging and monitoringExperience using JIRA or similar tools for tracking and collaborationStrong problem-solving skills and willingness to collaborate and learnGood communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teamsNice to HaveExperience in financial services or regulated environmentsExposure to advanced CI/CD practices and pipeline optimisationExperience with cloud platforms and distributed systemsBenefitsFixed Shifts: 12:00 PM - 9:30 PM IST (Summer) | 1:00 PM - 10:30 PM IST (Winter)No Weekend Work: Real work-life balance, not just wordsDay 1 Benefits: Laptop and full medical insurance providedSupport That Matters:Mentorship, community, and forums where ideas are sharedTrue Belonging: A long-term career where your contributions are valuedAt Smart Working, you’ll never be just another remote hire.Be a Smart Worker - valued, empowered, and part of a culture that celebrates integrity, excellence, and ambition.If that sounds like your kind of place, we’d love to hear your story.
