Position SummaryThe Senior ServiceNow Developeris responsible foradvanced platform development, enterprise integrations, and ongoing optimization of the organization’s ServiceNow environment. This role serves as a senior technical contributor within IT Service Management, providing hands-on developmentexpertisewhile guiding junior developers, partnering with architects on solution design, and ensuring scalable, secure, and maintainable implementations across enterprise instances.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and enhance ServiceNow functionality using server-side and client-side scripting, including Glide API, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and Scheduled JobsDesign and configure Service Catalogs, Catalog APIs, Order Guides, ACLs, Roles, Workspaces, and UI Builder interfacesBuild and customize Employee Center, portals, widgets, and Angular-based UI components to support business requirementsCreate andmaintainREST and Scripted REST APIs, Flow Designer solutions,SubFlows, and Integration Hub actions, including custom integrations and automation scriptsImplement and manage notifications, templates, mail scripts, dashboards, reports, and performance analyticsMonitor system health, analyze upgrade and performance logs, andoptimizeplatform reliability and scalabilityServe as a technical liaison between architects and developers, ensuring alignment with design standards and architectural patternsConduct code reviews and enforce development best practices tomaintainhigh-quality, maintainable solutionsManage instance upgrades, cloning activities, data archiving, replication processes, and domain separation configurationsDesign and support integrations with external systems, including SSO, discovery tools, Service Graph Connectors, ServiceNow-to-ServiceNow e-bonding, and AI-enabled automation use casesOther duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience supporting enterprise-scale implementationsAdvancedexpertisein server-side and client-side scripting, API development, and platform configurationStrong working knowledge of ITSM, ITOM, and ITAM modulesExperience managing platform upgrades, instance cloning, and multi-instance environmentsDemonstrated experience with Integration Hub, REST integrations, and external system connectivityFamiliarity with Domain Separation and multi-tenant architectureServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)required; Certified Application Developer (CAD) preferredProven ability to mentor developers and provide technical leadershipStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration skillsAlignment with RTS Core ValuesOriginally posted on Himalayas
