The RoleWe’re looking for a Senior Manager, Design Direction to define and scale how our brand is expressed across the full customer experience — spanning both marketing and product touchpoints. This role establishes the vision, structure, and operating model for brand design, leading a multidisciplinary team across art direction, UX, motion, video, illustration, and brand copy.You’ll guide the evolution and governance of brand guidelines, systems, and component libraries in close partnership with Art Directors who develop and maintain these assets. Acting as a strategic partner to Creative Direction, Web, and Product Design leadership, you’ll ensure brand principles are consistently translated and integrated across the end-to-end customer journey.This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for both elevating creative quality and building scalable systems that support company growth.Location: This is a remote position. You must live and work permanently in the U.S. to be considered.What You'll DoLead and develop a multidisciplinary creative team, setting a high bar for quality, clarity, and accountabilityCoach and mentor Art Directors and senior creatives to own their domains while maintaining brand consistencyDefine the long-term vision for brand guidelines, design systems, and scalable component librariesEstablish governance frameworks for brand application, asset creation, and system evolutionEnsure cohesive brand expression across design, web, motion, video, and physical experiencesPartner with Creative Direction and cross-functional leaders to translate vision into executable roadmapsDirect high-visibility, complex creative initiatives across channelsAlign brand systems with Product Design to ensure consistency across the full customer journeyResolve cross-team brand decision conflicts and drive alignment through influenceConduct brand audits to identify fragmentation and implement scalable improvementsBalance creative ambition with operational realities, ensuring delivery quality and timeline accountabilityContribute to leadership planning forums and advocate for design as a strategic business capabilityThe Impact You'll HaveAt CompanyCam, your work makes a real impact. In this role, you’ll drive impact by:Establishing a scalable brand design system that supports long-term growthElevating creative quality and consistency across marketing and product experiencesStrengthening alignment between Brand, Web, and Product Design teamsBuilding and developing a high-performing creative teamEnsuring the brand evolves thoughtfully while remaining cohesive and adaptableWhat You'll Bring7–10+ years of professional design experience, including 3+ years leading or managing design teamsDemonstrated experience delivering high-quality creative work across digital, web, video, animation, and physical environmentsStrong portfolio showcasing brand development, design systems, and strategic problem-solvingHands-on experience working with scalable design systems and component librariesExperience collaborating cross-functionally with product, marketing, engineering, and creative teamsProven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in modern design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative SuiteBachelor’s degree in Design, Fine Arts, or related field — or equivalent practical experienceUX experience (nice to have)Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions to diverse stakeholdersA continuous growth-mindset, with a focus on learning, embracing challenges, and continuously improving.A knack for creativity and innovation, bringing fresh ideas to the table and solving complex problems.Benefits & CompensationThis is a salaried position at CompanyCam. Our starting salary range is $90,000-$105,000 per year and is based on experience.
