With a comprehensive total rewards package, continuing education and training, and tremendous potential with a growing global organization, Strada is the perfect place to put your passion to work.To learn more about us, visit stradaglobal.comQuick Highlights (see full description, duties, and requirements below)Tax Filing Operations Services Manager (Canada)Location Focus: Canadian payroll tax filing (T4s, RL-1s, CRA remittances, etc.)Client-Facing Role: Primary point of contact for escalations, updates, and client meetingsSubject Matter Expert: Educates clients and teams on Canadian payroll tax filing processesProcess Leadership: Identifies trends, leads root cause analysis, and drives process improvementsMetrics-Driven: Analyzes and leverages data to close gaps and enhance performancePeople Management: Manages and coaches a team; 3+ years leadership experience requiredCross-Team Collaboration: Partners with internal Strada domains and external vendorsSystems Knowledge: 2+ years payroll tax filing software required; MasterTax preferredExperience Required: 5+ years in Canadian payroll tax filing; strong knowledge of CRA complianceOther Key Skills: Testing support, issue resolution, training delivery, compliance researchSummaryOversee and manage the daily administration of tax filing delivery for assigned legal entities including distributions of tax remittances according to tax jurisdiction guidelines. Manage client delivery across Tax filing Shared Services, directly and indirectly through team colleagues. Proactively manage client accounts to mitigate client escalations. Responsible for developing colleagues in both tax filing knowledge and client facing delivery. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:Oversee overall client delivery and satisfaction in Canadian tax filing servicesAct as primary point of contact for client escalations; resolve issues with urgency and accuracyRespond to client communications and escalate complex issues when neededEnsure timely, accurate communication to clients and internal Strada teamsRepresent Tax Filing Shared Services (TFSS) in client meetings, providing updates and education on processes and policiesLiaise with clients and internal payroll teams on tax filing mattersEducate clients and provide subject matter expertise in Canadian payroll tax filingMentor, coach, and manage team members; support performance and accountabilityCoordinate and deliver training for new hires and new processesLead or support the development, maintenance, and communication of SOPsSupport day-to-day tax filing operations, including oversight of third-party suppliersApprove and manage task checklists; monitor the checklist queueCoordinate and support interface testing and implementation for updates and new clientsPerform variance analysis; escalate or investigate as neededReview and validate bank setups to ensure proper processing of paymentsTrack and communicate “Applied for” statuses for agency registrationsProvide clients with penalty and interest reports as neededMonitor tasks and audit outputs to identify trends and improvement opportunitiesLead and support implementation of process improvementsConduct and communicate Root Cause Analyses (RCA); support downstream corrective actionsUse metrics to track performance, identify gaps, and drive continuous improvementResearch and support resolution of compliance and regulatory issuesPromote tax filing best practices and ensure alignment with the team's point of viewApply strong tax knowledge and problem-solving skills across all responsibilitiesEducation and ExperienceHigh school diploma required; relevant work experience required5+ years in Canadian payroll tax filing3+ years people management experience2+ years client interaction and relationship management2+ years experience with payroll tax filing software (MasterTax preferred)Strong knowledge of payroll, tax, and CRA regulationsAdvanced understanding of regulatory and legislative guidelinesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong computer and technical skillsLocation: Remote US or CanadaBenefitsWe offer programs and plans for a healthy mind, body, wallet and life because it’s important our benefits care for the whole person.
