Billing/Accounts Receivable (AR) Accountant - Junior level

Where: Remote. Apply to start the initial screening process and get hired faster!Responsibilities:- Prepare and issue accurate invoices to customers in a timely manner.- Manage and track accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of payments.- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies or billing issues.- Maintain detailed and organized records of billing transactions and customer communications.- Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices, and implement effective collection strategies.- Coordinate with the sales and customer service teams to ensure accurate billing and resolve customer inquiries.- Prepare and analyze accounts receivable reports, including aging reports and monthly summaries.- Assist with month-end closing activities and financial reporting related to billing and accounts receivable.- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting regulations.- Support the finance team with special projects and other duties as assigned.Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in billing and accounts receivable- Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts receivable processes.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, Intacct, etc) is preferred.- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.BenefitsCompetitive salaryWork with top U.S. or European companiesWork remotelyOriginally posted on Himalayas
