About Goodwave Audio
Goodwave Audio connects independent podcasts with brands that fit their audiences. We help creators earn advertising revenue and help advertisers develop campaigns that listeners can understand and connect with.
Our 43\-person team works across creator partnerships, advertising sales, creative production, and campaign operations. We support shows covering culture, food, business, science, and everyday life.
About the Role
We’re looking for a senior copywriter who understands how writing changes when someone has to say it aloud.
You will turn advertiser briefs into podcast sponsorship concepts, host talking points, and finished audio scripts. Some assignments will call for a tightly written 30\-second spot. Others will need a flexible outline that leaves room for a host’s personality and genuine experience.
You will own the writing from initial concept through approved recording copy, working closely with producers, partnership colleagues, and advertisers.
What You’ll Do
* Develop campaign concepts based on the advertiser’s objective, the show’s audience, and the host’s delivery style.
* Write host\-read talking points, scripted audio ads, sponsorship introductions, and short supporting copy.
* Adapt a campaign across multiple shows without making every host sound the same.
* Read scripts aloud and refine pacing, transitions, pronunciation notes, and calls to action.
* Present ideas and explain creative choices clearly to internal colleagues and clients.
* Incorporate consolidated feedback while keeping messaging focused and the script within its allotted time.
* Check product details, promotional offers, approved claims, and required disclosures against the brief.
* Work with producers during selected recording sessions and review recordings for copy accuracy.
* Use campaign findings to suggest new approaches, alternate openings, and clearer messages.
You will flag unsupported claims and confirm personal endorsements with the host rather than inventing experiences on their behalf.
What You’ll Bring
* At least five years of professional advertising copywriting experience, gained in an agency, an in\-house team, or through sustained freelance work.
* A portfolio showing strong concepts, concise writing, and the ability to work in different voices.
* Experience writing for spoken delivery, such as podcasts, radio, video, or branded entertainment.
* The ability to turn a broad brief into a clear idea and a practical script.
* Confidence presenting work and responding thoughtfully to feedback.
* Strong editing skills and attention to names, offers, timing, and version control.
* Experience balancing several assignments with different rev
