Bookkeeper

**Bookkeeper (Part\-Time Hybrid)** **Location:** Durham, NC (Hybrid – some remote work flexibility) Position Summary Evan Carr Woodworking is seeking a detail\-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to support the financial operations of our custom woodworking business. This part\-time hybrid role is based in Durham, NC, with some flexibility for remote work. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day\-to\-day bookkeeping functions, coordinating with the company's CPA, and supporting the business owner with financial reporting and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in QuickBooks, possesses strong organizational skills, and can work independently while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality. Key Responsibilities * Maintain accurate financial records and oversee daily bookkeeping activities * Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable * Reconcile bank and credit card accounts * Record and categorize financial transactions in QuickBooks * Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting and cash flow tracking * Coordinate with the company's CPA to support tax preparation and financial compliance * Process invoices and monitor outstanding payments * Maintain organized digital and physical financial records * Assist with payroll administration, as applicable * Support the business owner with administrative tasks, scheduling, and operational coordination as needed * Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in all financial and business matters Qualifications * Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting support, or a related financial role * Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks * Experience working with CPAs, accountants, or external financial professionals * Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial recordkeeping * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently * Proficiency with office software tools, particularly on Mac OS * High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality * Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred Company Description Evan Carr Woodworking builds fine custom cabinetry, millwork, and trim for upscale residential properties.
