TOEFL Assessment Consultant (Contract)

TOEFL Assessment ConsultantStudy.com is dedicated to making education easily accessible and highly valuable. We are looking for multilingual ESL/TESOL experts to work online and perform quality assurance on TOEFL practice content to help students prepare for one of the world's most recognized English proficiency exams. This is an online, remote contract role. All work is paid per hourAs a TOEFL Assessment Consultant, you will:- Review and evaluate user responses to TOEFL/TESOL practice questions using rubrics created by our in-house team - Review and edit written feedback provided to users, ensuring it is accurate, clearly worded and aligned to rubric criteria - Develop deep familiarity with a specific question type (e.g. Write an Email, Virtual Interview, Academic Discussion) and how responses should be structured and scored for that type - Perform peer review by comparing your evaluations against those of fellow contractors and grader-generated scores to ensure consistency and accuracyRequirements: Bachelor's degree in English, ESL, Education or a related fieldTESOL certificationMinimum 5 years of experience working with adult ESL learnersMinimum 1 year of experience teaching or tutoring TOEFL specificallyNon-native English speaker with native-level multilingual proficiencyDemonstrated familiarity with structured assessment and rubric-based evaluation; teaching specialty (writing, speaking, etc.) is flexibleStrong attention to detail and ability to apply consistent scoring standardsSelf-sufficient and able to work independently as an online contractorStrong communication skills; this is a collaborative role involving regular interaction with fellow reviewers and the in-house teamNice to HaveFamiliarity with TOEFL 2026 updates and the current exam formatExperience evaluating or scoring Academic Discussion, Write an Email, or Virtual Interview question typesBackground working with adult learners in a university or community college settingWhat We Offer:Reliable Payments: You'll receive payments twice a month and automated invoicing for your work.Remote Work: This is a fully online contracted work-from-home opportunity.Flexibility: Work when you want, where you want, and select projects that most interest you.Support: Our supportive staff is available answer your questions and help you get up and running.The Contract ProcessComplete the application and submit with your resume.Applications are approved and contracts sent on Wednesdays.Submit the contract within the 5-day signing window.The following Wednesday, you’ll receive onboarding instructions.You can view a step-by-step overview of the contract process here: How to Become a Freelancer with Study.comAbout Study.comThe mission of Study.com is to make education accessible, and over the last two decades we’ve become the leading online education platform, delivering a personalized learning experience across a broad continuum of education for over 30 million students, instructors, and professionals every month.We help empower millions of learners to achieve their education and career goals.
