Job Description
In this role, you will support indirect tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and adherence to local VAT regulations. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop expertise in VAT, ESL, and Intrastat within an international environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and submit indirect tax returns (VAT, ESL, Intrastat) accurately and within statutory deadlinesSupport VAT settlement processes, including clearing and closing transactionsPrepare reclassification journal entries (JE) for indirect taxes in receivable positionsProcess manual payments and reimbursement requests, ensuring accurate validation of general ledger accountsAssist in setting up correct SAP indirect tax rates and system logicPerform control framework activities related to indirect taxesEnsure compliance with local VAT regulations for assigned countriesSupport internal and external audits by providing required documentation and recordsAssist with VAT audits, including preparation of requested documents for authoritiesMaintain proper record retention in line with legal and company policiesIdentify process improvements and propose solutions to enhance efficiencyAnalyze and escalate indirect tax issues to the supervisorProvide guidance and basic advisory support to internal stakeholdersParticipate in tax-related projects and initiativesProvide backup support across the Tax team as neededPerform other ad hoc tasks or projects assigned by the supervisorBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (preferred)Up to 2 years of experience in finance, tax, or international businessPrevious experience in a Shared Services Center (SSC) finance environment is an advantageBasic knowledge of VAT; familiarity with multiple VAT legislations is a plusExperience working with SAP or other major ERP systemsStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly MS ExcelVBA skills will be considered an assetAdvanced level of English (both written and spoken)Reports To Title: TAX LeaderWe offer:Remote work modelFlexible working hoursPrivate medical care including dental careLife insuranceMultisport cardSocial fund (e.g. vacation allowance, Christmas allowance)Employee referral programIf you are passionate, innovative, culturally open, curious and collaborative, we’d like to hear from you.
