We’re a technology-led service with a human touch.About the RoleWe’re looking for a Senior Data Analyst to help us better understand and improve organic search performance across a large portfolio of local and enterprise clients.In this role, you’ll work cross-functionally to analyze performance data, identify trends, and translate insights into clear recommendations that inform product strategy, product marketing, and optimization efforts. It is focused on measurement, analysis, and strategic insight.Reporting to the SVP of Product and Optimization, you’ll partner closely with Product, Optimization and SEO leadership, Product Marketing, and senior leadership to evaluate what’s working, what’s not, and where we should go next.What Your Success Will Look LikeAnalyze performance data across a large and diverse client portfolio to identify trends, patterns, and opportunitiesOwn and evolve portfolio level performance reporting, including dashboards and scorecardsBuild and maintain benchmarking frameworks to compare performance across key verticalsDefine and standardize KPIs to ensure consistency across teamsEvaluate the effectiveness of strategies and product capabilities, identifying what drives the strongest outcomesConduct post launch analyses for product and strategy updates impacting performanceSupport emerging areas like AI driven search such as AI assisted search visibility, entity coverage, and local signals as measurement capabilities evolvePartner with Product, Data, and Engineering teams to improve data quality and expand access to meaningful signalsTranslate complex data into clear narratives and recommendations for both technical and non technical stakeholdersProactively surface insights and opportunities that influence product direction and business strategyWho You Are And What You BringEducationBachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, Communications, or a related field; STEM degree a plus.Experience4+ years of experience in data analytics, digital marketing, product development, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on data mining to inform product decisionsExperience working with large datasets and translating data into actionable insightsSEO fundamentals including technical, on page, off page, local search, and familiarity with AI search is a plusExperience building dashboards and reports for a range of stakeholdersExperience in agency, SaaS, or SMB focused environments is a plusSkillsTechnicalIntermediate experience with SQL and data visualization tools such as Tableau or similarFamiliarity with tools like Google Analytics GA4, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, BrightLocal, or similarExperience with Python or automation tools is a plusCoreStrong analytical and problem solving skillsClear and effective communication both written and verbalAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesAttention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and consistencyOur Scorpion ValuesWinning Mindset: When our clients win, we win.Genuine Care: We only succeed when we are truly invested in our clients and each other.Unmatched Results: We deliver more than expected–and then some–driving the best results and impacting lives.Constant Improvement: We believe there is always a better way. As a national employer, Scorpion has made the decision to post our expected pay rate or pay range (as applicable) in all our job postings, regardless of geographic location.The base salary range is $100,000 (entry-level) - $110,000 (highly experienced), exclusive of fringe benefits. If you are hired at Scorpion, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience.
